Egypt Daily News - President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said that today we celebrate the anniversary of the liberation of Sinai, that precious spot in the pure land of Egypt. Adding: “It is a day that reflects the strength of the Egyptian will and the solidity of our resolve to recover every inch of our land.”

President Sisi added on his official social media pages: “Today we remember the sacrifices of our righteous martyrs and the heroism of our brave soldiers who restored the nation’s dignity and sovereignty over the beloved land of Sinai.”

President Sisi said that the liberation of Sinai was not just a return to the land, but rather an affirmation of the ability of this people to achieve the impossible and preserve their capabilities.

He concluded his message by saying: “Let us make this anniversary a milestone for renewing the pledge to continue building our nation, strengthening our unity, and working to raise its status among the nations. Long live Egypt... Long live Egypt... Long live Egypt.”
