This comes days after Egypt announced its intention to officially intervene to support the lawsuit filed by South Africa against Israel before the International Court of Justice to look into Israel’s violations.

Egypt explained in a statement to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that the announcement of intervention in the lawsuit comes in light of the worsening severity and scope of Israeli attacks against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, and the continued perpetration of systematic practices against the Palestinian people, including direct targeting of civilians and the destruction of infrastructure in the Strip. and pushed the Palestinians to be displaced and displaced from their land, noting that Tel Aviv caused the creation of an unprecedented humanitarian crisis that led to unlivable conditions in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant violation of the provisions of international law and international humanitarian law, and the Fourth Geneva Convention of 1949 regarding the protection of civilian persons in times of conflict. the war.

Egypt renewed its demand to the Security Council and influential international parties for the necessity of immediate action to cease the fire in the Gaza Strip and military operations in the Palestinian city of Rafah, and to provide the necessary protection for Palestinian civilians.

In his speech before the Arab summit in the Bahraini capital, Manama, the day before yesterday, Thursday, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi affirmed that Israel has engaged in killing and revenge, and besieged an entire people in an attempt to displace them, calling on everyone to choose between two paths: the first is peace, stability, and security, and the second is the destruction and chaos that military escalation leads to. continuing in the Gaza Strip.

He continued that the children of Palestine, tens of thousands of whom were killed or orphaned in Gaza, whose rights will remain a sword drawn over the conscience of humanity until justice is implemented through the relevant mechanisms of international law.

President SIsi said that while Egypt is engaging with its brothers and friends in serious and desperate attempts to save our region from falling into a deep abyss, we do not find the real international political will to end the occupation and address the roots of the conflict through the two-state solution.

He continued by saying: We found Israel continuing to evade its responsibilities and evade the efforts made to cease fire and even move forward with its rejected military operation in Rafah, in addition to attempts to use the Rafah crossing on its Palestinian side to tighten the siege on the Gaza Strip.

President El-Sisi reiterated that Egypt will remain firm in its firm position, rejecting the liquidation of the Palestinian issue and rejecting the forced displacement of Palestinians or by creating conditions that make life in the Gaza Strip impossible with the aim of evacuating the land of Palestine of its people, adding that he is delusional who believes that security and military solutions are able to secure interests or achieving security.
