Cairo records 40 degree Celsius. Heat wave warning

Egypt Daily News -Mahmoud Al-Qayati, member of the Meteorological Authority’s media center, revealed details of the weather condition and expected temperatures during the coming hours.

Al-Qayati said that the country is exposed to a desert depression that has reached the Libyan desert, and the air masses will move and reach the western borders of Egypt, noting that Egypt will be affected starting tomorrow by very hot air masses, and thus it will be exposed to very hot weather throughout the republic.

He added, during a phone call to the “Hazrat Al-Muwatin” program on “Al-Hadath Al-Youm” satellite channel, this Monday evening, that temperatures are witnessing significant increases in the morning and evening, and that Wednesday is the peak of the heat wave to which the country is exposed, reaching 40 degrees in Greater Cairo.

He continued: “As of Thursday, the heat wave will begin to break and temperatures will drop,” indicating that the wave of Khamseen winds to which the country is exposed will end next Thursday.
