EgyptDailyNews - A high-ranking Egyptian security official announced that Egyptian air defenses are on high alert. It is noteworthy that the White House announced that Iran had begun an air attack on Israel, according to breaking news on the Cairo News Channel.

Egypt has also established a crisis group as reported by Al Qahera News, the crisis group works around the clock, providing regular updates to the Egyptian president on the evolving situation in the region.

"A crisis group is closely monitoring the situation and submitting reports to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi hour by hour," the channel said, citing a senior security official.

Iranian drones, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles have been spotted over Iraq and some have been intercepted over Israel. It has also been reported that jet fighters from the US Air Force were flying over Iraq and Jordan in an attempt to intercept Iranian drones flying towards Israel.
