Jordan summons its Iranian ambassador over Tehran's "offensive" statements

EgyptDailyNews - Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi said today, Sunday, that Amman, summoned the Iranian ambassador in protest against offensive statements to Jordan broadcasted on the Iranian News Agency.

Al-Safadi confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is driven by an abolitionist doctrine towards the Palestinians and is trying to create a confrontation with Iran to divert attention from what is happening in Gaza.

The Iranian Mehr News Agency reported that an informed source in the Iranian Armed Forces warned Jordan against cooperating with Israel. The source said, according to the news agency, “Iran will monitor Jordanian movements, and if they cooperate with Israel, Jordan will be our next target.”

The source in the Iranian Armed Forces stressed: “We warned Jordan and the rest of the countries of the region before the attack began against cooperating with Israel.”

Earlier, with the beginning of the Iranian attacks on the occupied territories, the Jordanian Air Force announced that it was preparing to confront any Iranian aircraft that violated its airspace.

Iran threatened Israel's neighbors against trying to open its airspace to Israeli aircraft, warning them that it would also be punished.
