New heat wave hits Egypt starting Tuesday until next week

The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) warned of a new heat wave starting Tuesday, as a result of hot air masses that would raise temperatures by values from three to seven Celsius degrees until the beginning of next week.

The EMA expects hot, sunny weather to prevail in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, northern Upper Egypt, and South Sinai, growing hotter in southern Upper Egypt.

The weather at night will be cold in all parts.

The heat wave appears as a result of air masses coming from the western and southern desert regions, which will not be loaded with water vapor that increases humidity levels, the EMA added.

Tuesday’s temperatures

  • Cairo: 26C
  • Sharm el-Sheikh: 27C
