Qena Governor: "Touristic" bread price reduced by 40%

EgyptDailyNews - Qena governor Ashraf Al-Daoudi said that the prices of tourist bread were reduced by 40%, after the price of luxury flour declined in the markets, which indicates positive results benefiting the citizen who consumes tourist bread.

Al-Daoudi added that bakery owners have been alerted to the necessity of adhering to the prescribed weights for tourist bread, while reducing bread prices by 40% (Fino and tourist bread), directing the Supply Directorate to launch morning and evening campaigns to inspect the ration situation by visiting bakeries, and ensuring the availability of bread with its required quality and quantity for citizens. Results of the inspection campaigns led to the closure of two municipal bakeries for not having proper documents and permits, and 16 reports for failure to announce prices.
