United States informs Israel that it is continuing direct negotiations with Hamas

Egypt Daily News – According to a report by Israel’s public broadcaster on Thursday, the United States has informed Israel that it will continue direct negotiations with Hamas.

The report also stated that an American company is set to begin food distribution to residents of Gaza starting this Sunday.

Calls for humanitarian aid into Gaza have grown louder from countries and international organizations, demanding that Israeli authorities allow the entry of aid and stop what they describe as massacres against Palestinian civilians.

Greece Joins European Pressure to End Gaza War

Greece has joined other European countries in pressuring Israel to halt its military operations in Gaza. The Greek Foreign Ministry called for the immediate and unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid throughout the Gaza Strip.

In a joint statement released Thursday, 80 countries declared that Gaza is experiencing its worst humanitarian crisis since October 7, with civilians facing the risk of famine.

ActionAid: Thousands of Families Living in Hell

The international organization ActionAid stated that thousands of families in Gaza are enduring unbearable conditions amid continued Israeli air and ground attacks and rapidly dwindling supplies.

In a press release, ActionAid said that hundreds have been killed and nearly 100,000 people displaced over recent days due to intensified Israeli military operations.

Worsening Humanitarian Situation in Gaza

The organization also reported that staff working with one of its partner organizations in Deir al-Balah were forced to evacuate their offices and homes, despite the absence of any safe places to shelter, as violent assaults on Gaza continue daily.
