Egypt Daily News – Egypt’s Ministry of Civil Aviation has confirmed that the country’s airspace is operating normally, with air traffic running smoothly and safely across all Egyptian airports. The statement comes in response to recent regional developments that have prompted several neighboring countries to temporarily close their airspace.
In light of these changes, the ministry announced that the highest level of readiness has been activated at Cairo International Airport and other airports across the country. This measure is intended to accommodate flights that may be diverted to Egyptian airports due to regional disruptions.
The ministry emphasized full preparedness in terms of operational, technical, and human resources.
There is ongoing and direct coordination with all airlines operating within Egypt’s airports to maintain smooth air traffic and ensure top-tier safety and service standards.
The ministry also stressed that flight operations within Egyptian airspace and at all airports nationwide remain uninterrupted. The situation is being monitored around the clock by central operations rooms and the ministry’s crisis management unit, in full coordination with relevant state authorities.
Furthermore, continuous communication is being maintained with international aviation bodies to closely follow developments and assess when closed airspaces in the region might reopen. The ministry reaffirmed its commitment to closely tracking both regional and international updates in order to respond swiftly and professionally to any sudden changes.
