The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) continues to welcome visitors from Egypt and around the world as it gradually opens its galleries and public spaces ahead of its full inauguration. Authorities have confirmed the ticket categories and pricing for both Egyptian nationals and foreign visitors.
The museum offers two types of tickets: standard entry tickets and guided tour tickets, each with separate prices for Egyptians, foreign tourists and foreign residents.
Standard Entry Tickets
For Egyptians:
- Adults: 200 EGP
- Children: 100 EGP
- Students: 100 EGP
- Seniors: 100 EGP
For Arabs and foreign tourists:
- Adults: 1,450 EGP
- Children: 730 EGP
- Students: 730 EGP
For Arab and foreign residents in Egypt:
- Adults: 730 EGP
- Children: 370 EGP
- Students: 370 EGP
Guided Tour Tickets
For Egyptians:
- Adults: 350 EGP
- Children: 175 EGP
- Students: 175 EGP
- Seniors: 175 EGP
For Arabs and foreign tourists:
- Adults: 1,950 EGP
- Children: 980 EGP
- Students: 980 EGP
For Arab and foreign residents in Egypt:
- Adults: 980 EGP
- Children: 500 EGP
- Students: 500 EGP
The Grand Egyptian Museum, located near the Giza Pyramids, is expected to become one of the world’s largest archaeological museums, housing thousands of ancient Egyptian artifacts, including the full collection of King Tutankhamun.
Authorities continue to encourage visitors to take advantage of the museum’s partial opening period, during which select galleries, exhibitions and public areas are accessible ahead of the official grand opening.
