Egypt Daily News – The Israeli Prime Minister is visiting Washington in the midst of dramatic political developments there, but there is no change to the visit’s schedule, as he will meet the US President and Vice President Hartz on Tuesday, deliver a speech before Congress on Wednesday, and seek to hold a reconciliation meeting with Trump on Thursday. This is why Netanyahu’s comment on Biden withdrew from the presidential race, and Harris took over the task briefly, so as not to arouse Trump’s anger again.

The Israeli opposition has criticized Netanyahu because he appears to be interfering in the American elections, and is violating the tradition of Israeli prime ministers by maintaining an almost sacred balance in the relationship with the two parties in America.

Meanwhile, the Israeli Prisoners’ Families Association announced its protest against Netanyahu’s visit before an exchange deal was reached.

Netanyahu said that he is visiting Washington while Israel is fighting on seven fronts, and explained that he will say in his speech to Congress that regardless of who is elected president, America has no better ally than Israel in the region.

The visit comes at a time when the Houthi front in Yemen has opened, and the risks of a major regional war in the region have increased, according to observers.
