Mohamed El-Sayed defeats the Italian champion and qualifies for the quarter-finals of the fencing sword at the Paris Olympics

Egypt Daily News – The Egyptian champion, Mohamed El-Sayed, defeated his counterpart, the Italian champion, Santerelli, ranked 26th in the world, in the eighth final of the Olympic Games for fencing, to qualify for the quarter-finals.

Mohamed Al-Sayed qualified for the round of 16 by defeating the Colombian champion (15-7) in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, which is scheduled for the period from July 26 to next August 11. The Egyptian Arms Federation is participating with 21 male and female players, 16 main players and 5 reserve players. The list came as follows: As follows:

Men’s Epee weapons: Muhammad Maher Hamza, Aladdin Abu Al-Qasim, Abdul Rahman Talba, Muhammad Essam.

Women’s epee: Yara Al-Sharqawi, Sarah Amr, Malak Maher, Noha Hani.

Men’s sword weapons: Ziad Al-Sisi, Adham Moataz, Muhammad Amer, and Yassin Khudair.

Women’s sword weapon: Nada Hafez.

Men’s fencing sword: Muhammad Al-Sayed, Muhammad Yassin, Mahmoud Mohsen, and Mahmoud Al-Sayed.

Women’s fencing: Nardine Ehab, Sherwat Jaber, Aya Sharif, Lulwa Mohamed.
