Egypt Daily News – Olympic wrestler Mohamed Ibrahim Kishou has been released by French police after investigations into allegations of harassment against a French girl found no evidence to support the claims.

The investigation was closed due to a lack of incriminating evidence, with surveillance footage from the scene failing to show any inappropriate behavior on Kishou’s part.

Following his release, Kishou made his way from the police station to Charles de Gaulle Airport, preparing to return to Cairo.

However, authorities, specifically the Committee of Bodies, Clubs and Ethics led by Major General Sherif El Gomati, have indicated plans to shift focus to a different matter. Instead of the harassment allegations, they intend to investigate Kishou for leaving the Olympic Village without permission after attending the final match, for which he did not return by the designated time.

Kishou faced a significant backlash due to the initial harassment accusations, which have now been refuted by French investigative authorities.
