Egypt Daily News – After an exhilarating two weeks of competition, Paris passed the torch to Los Angeles, the next host city for the Summer Games in 2028. The grand finale took place at the Stade de France, elegantly transformed into a massive concert hall, where a spectacular closing ceremony unfolded.

The event featured a dynamic array of performances including acrobats, dancers, and circus acts, captivating audiences with breathtaking aerial displays, elaborate decorations, and stunning lighting effects that created a mesmerizing journey through time, blending the past with visions of the future.

Traditional elements of the closing ceremony were honored, such as the parade of athletes, the display of national flags, and the ceremonial handover of the Olympic flag to the Los Angeles organizing committee for 2028.

Prominent figures from the entertainment world, including Tom Cruise, H.E.R., Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers, also graced the awards ceremony with their presence.

On August 8, Team USA announced that swimmer Katie Ledecky and fellow competitor Nick Mead would carry the American flag during the closing ceremony. Ledecky expressed her gratitude in a video shared on Team USA’s social media, stating, “Thank you, Team USA. It’s an honor to represent our country here in Paris. I’m so proud to be a part of this team.”
