Egypt Daily News – The Israeli military conducted an operation in Gaza that resulted in the recovery of the bodies of six hostages, as announced by the Israeli army and security services on Tuesday.
The hostages identified are Yoram Metzger, Alexander Dansig, Avraham Monder, Haim Peri, Nadav Popplewell, and Yagiv Buchstab.
Earlier reports had indicated that all but one, Avraham Monder, were presumed dead while in captivity.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed gratitude for the efforts of those involved in the operation, highlighting their “courage and resolute action.”
In his statement, he also conveyed empathy for the families affected by this tragedy, stating, “Our hearts ache for the terrible loss,” as he offered his condolences.
