President Sisi reviews progress on the national project for human development

Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi convened a meeting today with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly and Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar to discuss advancements in the national project for human development titled “A New Beginning for Building the Individual.”

This initiative focuses on enhancing human capital investment through an extensive program aimed at improving various sectors including health, education, culture, sports, and job creation.

The project seeks to ensure equitable distribution of state resources among all citizens, ultimately enhancing their quality of life across Egypt’s governorates.

During the meeting, the President emphasized the importance of finalizing the initiative’s executive plans, asserting that human capital is Egypt’s true wealth and must be nurtured and developed.

He called for enhanced coordination among state entities to ensure citizens feel the initiative’s benefits promptly.

The discussions also included updates on the health sector, highlighting projects like the developmental activities at the Nasser Institute and the establishment of central laboratories in Badr City.

The President urged swift progress in developing 30 hospitals and 500 medical units across various governorates as part of the comprehensive health insurance initiative.

Moreover, the meeting reviewed developments related to the Medical Capital City project, which aims to upgrade medical services in Egypt leveraging artificial intelligence and advanced methodologies.

Government efforts to stimulate investment in the health sector were also a point of focus, which includes creating incentive packages to attract private sector partnerships.

The agenda further covered the localization of the pharmaceutical industry to ensure continuous availability of high-quality medications amid global supply chain challenges.

The President was updated on ongoing healthcare initiatives, including efforts to eliminate waiting lists and improve mental health services. Plans to expand mental health facilities and the establishment of the “Sakina” mental health and addiction treatment hospital were also discussed.
