ICOM explodes in Lebanon

Egypt Daily News – The Lebanese news agencies revealed the nature of the new explosions that Lebanon experienced in recent hours.

The agency reported that the explosions occurred in the hands of those carrying “ICOM” wireless devices, which dozens were holding in their hands inside homes in the Lebanese city of “Tyre.”

The Lebanese Civil Defense announced that it has extinguished “the fires in 60 homes and shops, as a result of the explosion of pager devices in Nabatieh, southern Lebanon,” today, Wednesday.

New explosions have occurred targeting wireless communication devices used by Hezbollah in multiple cities across Lebanon, with initial reports of an unknown number of casualties.

A source in Hezbollah confirmed that the wireless communication devices used by the group were targeted in the attack. A senior security source said that the explosions were “small in size,” compared to yesterday’s attacks.
