Egypt Daily News – A few hours ago Israel conducted a series of airstrikes in southern Lebanon, marking the most significant military action since the onset of the ongoing conflict in October.
Israeli army radio said that these strikes focused on approximately 100 rocket launchers, particularly targeting areas like Jabal al-Rihane, Nabatiyeh, and Al-Aishiya.
According to Israeli military statements, the air force aimed at sites associated with Hezbollah, specifically around 30 rocket launch locations, alongside other infrastructure deemed critical for military operations.
This military operation follows recent threats from Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, who signaled a potential retaliatory response to Israeli airstrikes that targeted communication equipment in Lebanon.
The timing of these events underscores the rising tensions and the precarious security situation in the region, as both sides appear poised for further engagement in this conflict.
