Egypt Daily News – The Israeli Air Force, under the command of Tomer Bar, is currently on high alert in both defensive and offensive capacities, in response to escalating tensions and potential developments in the region.

Bar, during a briefing for Air Force leaders, emphasized the readiness of the Israeli Air Force, stating that they remain at maximum operational readiness for defense purposes, a status they have maintained for an extended period.

He noted that all offensive capabilities are also on alert, prepared to respond according to the evolving situation on the ground.

This heightened state of alert coincides with an increase in Israeli airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon, with reports indicating that the strikes have reached up to 40 kilometers into Lebanese territory.

These military actions follow a significant lethal attack near Beirut, in which 37 individuals lost their lives, including two senior military officials and several leaders from an elite unit.

This incident marks a serious escalation in the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel, which has intensified over the past year, particularly in the wake of recent hostilities between Hamas and Israel in the Gaza Strip that began in October 2023.

The ongoing exchanges of shelling across the Israel-Lebanon border underscore the fragile and volatile nature of the situation in the region.
