Egypt Daily News – On Sunday morning, the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon made a statement regarding their recent missile attack on the “Ramat David” military base and airport in Israel.

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful: ‘Permission is granted to those who are being fought because they have been wronged, and indeed, Allah is capable of granting them victory.’ Allah, the Most High, has spoken the truth.”

This attack involved a substantial launch of rockets from southern Lebanon earlier that day. The statement emphasized their solidarity with the Palestinian people in Gaza and labeled the action as a response to ongoing Israeli assaults that resulted in civilian casualties in Lebanon.

Specifically, the Islamic Resistance reported targeting the Ramat David facility using Fadi 1 and Fadi 2 missiles as part of their ongoing defense against perceived injustices. They cited a religious justification for their actions, alluding to the need for resistance against oppression and the promise of divine support.

In response to the missile barrage, which was confirmed by media sources, Israeli military censorship enacted restrictions on the dissemination of details concerning the attack.

In light of the escalating conflict, the U.S. State Department issued warnings to American citizens in Lebanon, advising them to evacuate the country while commercial flights remain operational, citing the unpredictable and dangerous situation arising from the hostilities between Hezbollah and Israel.
