More than 450 dead and injured as a result of Israeli attacks on Lebanon within 24 hours

Egypt Daily News – According to medical sources, 109 people were killed and 364 others were injured in the past 24 hours due to Israeli airstrikes on various areas in Lebanese territory.

The Lebanese Civil Defense indicated that “the number of martyrs from the Ain al-Dalab massacre (east of Sidon) has risen to more than 40, and rescue teams are still searching for dozens of missing persons under the rubble.”

The Lebanese Ministry of Health also stated that “33 martyrs and 97 injured fell as a result of the Israeli aggression today on the Baalbek-Hermel governorate in the eastern part of the country.”

On Sunday, the Israeli army launched dozens of new airstrikes on sites in Lebanon, claiming to target positions belonging to “Hezbollah” in the country, including rocket launch sites and weapon storage facilities, just two days after the assassination of the party’s Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah in an Israeli raid on the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Israeli airstrikes targeted a civil defense center and ambulance crews in the towns of Tairdaba and Qabrih in southern Lebanon, resulting in the martyrdom of 7 paramedics.

The airstrikes also hit the city of Hermel in eastern Lebanon, including various areas of the Bekaa Valley and the surroundings of Baalbek. Meanwhile, Israeli artillery intensified shelling on towns in southern Lebanon.

The Israeli army attacked dozens of Hezbollah targets in Lebanese territory in the early hours of dawn, and over the past 24 hours, the army has struck hundreds of targets across Lebanon, according to a spokesperson for the Israeli army; amid reports of an imminent Israeli ground invasion in Lebanon.
