Egypt Daily News – Liverpool fans are closely watching the contract situation of key players Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold, all of whom face uncertain futures as their contracts are set to expire at the end of the season.

Despite speculation linking them to potential departures, reports indicate that their contract negotiations are not yet resolved, and the club has not finalized any renewal agreements.

The trio’s situation has been distinct among supporters, even though they are often discussed together. Salah, at 32, and Van Dijk, at 33, are in a different position regarding contract renewals compared to Alexander-Arnold, who is only 25 years old.

His youth has made him a target of interest, notably from Real Madrid, which has reportedly shown admiration for him and even reached out to the player.

According to the “Mirror,” there’s an understanding among players that they want to see how contract renewals play out for one another before making decisions about their own futures.

Currently, there’s no indication that any of them are pushing to leave Liverpool, and it seems that Alexander-Arnold, in particular, is unlikely to create turmoil at the club he has been part of since childhood.

Former Liverpool player Steve McManaman acknowledged the complexities surrounding the players’ contract situations, referencing recent changes at the club, including the departure of the sporting director and Jurgen Klopp’s ongoing challenges.

He expressed hope that these issues could be resolved amicably and noted that while discussions have been ongoing among the players and the club, official communication will only come once contracts are officially signed.

As it stands, the futures of Salah, Van Dijk, and Alexander-Arnold remain open-ended, with fans and pundits alike eagerly awaiting concrete developments from Liverpool FC.
