Egypt Daily News – Israel witnessed strong explosions in the skies over Tel Aviv this Tuesday morning after Hezbollah launched dozens of rockets towards northern and central Israel.
This led to the suspension of flights at Ben Gurion Airport before operations resumed, and the activation of sirens in several northern and central Israeli cities, from the northern Golan Heights to the Shefela region, according to a report by the Israeli newspaper “Yedioth Ahronoth.”
The report indicated that the sound of the explosions was heard strongly in central Israel, where interceptions of rockets were detected over the skies of Tel Aviv and Ramat Gan.
The spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army pointed out that 5 rockets were launched from Lebanese territory towards central Israel, most of which were intercepted, with one landing in an open area.
Additionally, around 15 other rocket launches were recorded from southern Lebanon towards the Upper Galilee and northern Golan, some of which were intercepted while the rest fell in uninhabited areas.
The report noted that in the area of Migdal Michal near Zichron Yaakov, shrapnel from the missile interception fell, causing damage to parked vehicles and residential buildings, without any reported injuries, except for one person who was taken for treatment.
Hezbollah claimed responsibility for the missile attacks targeting northern Israel, including Tel Aviv, indicating that the latest missile attacks were directed at the Israeli intelligence base 8200 in the Galilee region.
Hezbollah indicated that one of the missiles launched in the morning targeted the Iron Dome battery in the Nirit area.
Hezbollah also announced last night, following the fall of a missile into the sea off the central coast of Israel, that the target of the attack was the Galilee region.
The newspaper explained that during the early hours of this Tuesday morning, rocket launches were also detected towards the Haifa and Carmel areas, where sirens were heard in several areas including Yokneam. Fragments from interception missiles fell in Isfiya and Daliyat al-Karmel, causing damage to one of the buildings.
At the same time, the Israeli occupation army continued since last night until this Tuesday morning to launch brutal and aggressive airstrikes on the southern suburbs of the Lebanese capital, Beirut, and the Ouzai area was targeted for the first time since the war.
Other reports indicated that the Israeli occupation army launched at least 13 airstrikes in the southern suburbs, including strikes near Lebanon’s largest general hospital, Rafik Hariri Hospital. According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, four people were martyred in these strikes, including a child.
