Al-Mayadeen explained that the seven villages are located on the eastern bank of the Euphrates River, in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, namely Al-Husseiniyah, Al-Salihiyah, Hatla, Marat, Mazloum, Khasham, and Al-Tabiyah, and they are under the control of the Syrian army.
