Egypt Daily News – President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi said, during his visit to the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ in the New Administrative Capital: “Happy New Year, and His Holiness the Pope is well and in peace, and all of us, God willing, are well and in peace. We also love you and you are our brothers and beloved ones.”
He continued: “God willing, a happy year, and a year that, God willing, will remain better than the past years. I follow all matters and see all reactions, and anxiety may be justified. You must know, and I am not just talking to you, I am talking to the world in Egypt and outside Egypt through you. God willing, this year will be better than previous years.”
He continued: “Egypt is a very big country, Egypt is a very big country, Egypt is a very big country. Happy New Year, and a Merry Christmas to all of us, and God willing, the coming days will be better than the past days. I don’t want to take longer for you, and you know that procedures, ceremonies, and prayers take time.” Every time I think of myself and you and I say to you, His Holiness the Pope has a great place in my heart and great, great respect. May God protect him and protect you.”
The Christmas Mass prayer is attended by senior statesmen, ministers, governors, members of the House of Representatives and the Senate, ambassadors, diplomats, public figures, and various media outlets.
The “Nativity of Christ” Cathedral in the Administrative Capital, which was inaugurated by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi in 2019; It is the largest in the Middle East, and can accommodate 8,200 people. It consists of a ground floor, a courtyard, and a steeple 60 meters high.
The new cathedral is located east of the Expo Grounds project, south of the central park in the new capital, on an area of 15 acres, equivalent to 63,000 square metres.
