Egypt Daily News – Prsident Zelenskyy announced the presence of Mirage 2000 French fighters in Ukraine today, Tuesday, indicating the emergence of French fighters in the sky of Ukraine. “We are waiting for the French fighters in our sky, which will certainly enhance our defenses under the control of the Ukrainian pilots,” Zelenskyy wrote on his channel in “Telegram”.
Earlier, French Foreign Minister Jean -Nouil Barrow confirmed that the French combat Mirage planes will be delivered to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2025. “The French Mirage planes will start flying in the sky of Ukraine soon, at the end of the quarter (2025),” said Barrow.
In June of last year, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that Paris will transport “Mirage 2000” fighters to Kiev and will organize the training of Ukrainian pilots by the end of the year, and at the same time, Macron confirmed that French weapons will not be used to bomb civilians on Russian soil.
Later in October, French Defense Minister Sebastian Lecorno said that the planes will be delivered in the first quarter of 2025, noting that the supplied planes to Kiev will be provided with “new equipment.”
Last November, Vice Chairman of the Defense Committee of the French National Assembly, Frank Jelly, announced that Paris intends to transfer 6 of this kind fighters to Kiev.
Western countries, through the material, military and political support to Kiev, seeks to obstruct the goals of the private military operation, but Moscow has confirmed on more than one occasion that the military operations in the Donbas region will not stop until after achieving all its goals.
