Talba pulled off a thrilling victory against the Hungarian champion, edging the match 15-14 in a strong comeback, while Hamza also triumphed over Poland’s Jan Jurkiewicz with the same nail-biting score.
In addition, Mohamed El-Sayed contributed to Egypt’s success by securing a bronze medal. He achieved this by defeating Tibor Andrasfi from Hungary in a tightly contested fencing sword match, where the final score was 8-7. This win marks a historic moment as it represents Egypt’s first medal in the 2024 Olympic tournament.
