Egypt Daily News – Abdul Rahman Talba and Mohamed Hamza have both made remarkable strides in the Epee event at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, fighting their way to the round of 16. Talba pulled off a thrilling victory against the Hungarian champion, edging the match 15-14 in a strong comeback, while Hamza also triumphed over Poland’s Jan Jurkiewicz with the same nail-biting score.
In addition, Mohamed El-Sayed contributed to Egypt’s success by securing a bronze medal. He achieved this by defeating Tibor Andrasfi from Hungary in a tightly contested fencing sword match, where the final score was 8-7. This win marks a historic moment as it represents Egypt’s first medal in the 2024 Olympic tournament.
