During the grand national celebration “Egypt, the Land of Peace,” held in the presence of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, actor Mohamed Sallam received an exceptionally warm welcome and prolonged applause from the audience as he took to the stage to present a theatrical segment dedicated to the spirit and history of Sinai.

In his performance, Sallam portrayed a teacher standing before a classroom of children, offering them a heartfelt lesson about the deep historical and spiritual significance of the Sinai Peninsula. With a blend of sincerity and emotion, he told them that it would be impossible to sum up the story of Sinai in a few words, remarking, “If we kept talking about Sinai, we could go on for a whole year and still not say enough.”

As part of his message, he handed out books to the children, encouraging them to learn more about this unique land, known by many names that reflect its value, the Land of Divine Revelation, the Land of Turquoise, and the Land of the Moon. Sallam emphasized that Sinai is far more than a geographical region; it is a sacred space woven into the very fabric of Egypt’s history. “It is God Himself,” he said, “who made this land holy, for it was here that He revealed Himself and spoke to Prophet Moses. Prophets and messengers have walked upon its soil and lived among its people.”

Sallam went on to remind the audience that Sinai has borne witness to every era of Egypt’s history, “from our ancient ancestors to this very moment.” He also paid tribute to the Bedouin tribes who have inhabited the peninsula for thousands of years, calling them “the noble guardians of the sands,” whose steadfast devotion and courage have always protected the land and preserved its spirit.

The “Egypt, the Land of Peace” celebration carries a powerful message to the world about Egypt’s enduring role as a pillar of peace and stability in the region. Directed by Mido Shaaban and hosted by renowned actress and media personality Esaad Younes, the event brought together a distinguished ensemble of Egyptian and Arab stars, symbolizing unity, hope, and a shared commitment to harmony under Egypt’s message of peace.
