The quarter-final stage of the Africa Cup of Nations will be played on Friday and Saturday, January 9 and 10, as the remaining eight teams battle for places in the semi-finals.
Egypt headline the round with a high-profile clash against Côte d’Ivoire, as the seven-time champions aim to continue their title push and secure a spot among the tournament’s final four. The Egyptian national team will remain based in the Moroccan city of Agadir, where they are set to play their fifth consecutive match of the tournament, underscoring their familiarity with the venue.
The quarter-final action begins on Friday, January 9, with Mali facing defending champions Senegal at 6:00 pm at the Stade de Tanger. Later that evening, hosts Morocco take on Cameroon in a heavyweight encounter at 9:00 pm at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Saturday, January 10, features two further blockbuster ties. Algeria will meet Nigeria at 6:00 pm at the Marrakech Stadium, in a match between two of Africa’s most accomplished sides. The round concludes with Egypt’s showdown against Côte d’Ivoire at 9:00 pm at the Adrar Stadium in Agadir, a fixture that revives a classic African rivalry.
