Qassam detonates

Egypt Daily News – The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced that they detonated a house that had been previously booby-trapped, targeting a special Israeli force that had infiltrated the Abu Al-Rous area east of Rafah city in the southern Gaza Strip, causing deaths and injuries among the troops.

In a statement, Al-Qassam said: “Al-Qassam fighters managed to detonate a previously booby-trapped house against a Zionist special force that infiltrated the Abu Al-Rous area east of Rafah, causing them casualties between dead and wounded.”

On Saturday, Al-Qassam also released a video message from Israeli-American captive Alexander Aidan, in which he harshly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing him as a “dictator.”

This came just hours after Al-Qassam announced it had targeted the settlement of “Nir Ishaq” with its short-range “Rajoum” rocket system, using 114mm rockets.

On the other hand, the Israeli army announced on Sunday that its air force had intercepted a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip, with no casualties reported.

In a statement issued Saturday evening, the Israeli army also confirmed that the air force intercepted a rocket from Gaza, noting that alarms had been triggered in open areas.

Our correspondent reported that Israeli forces targeted several areas in Gaza today, resulting in deaths, injuries, and further destruction of the health infrastructure.

The Gaza Ministry of Health announced today that the death toll from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip has risen to 50,944, with 116,156 injured since the start of the war on October 7, 2023.

Regarding ceasefire negotiations, Hamas confirmed that its delegation in Cairo is discussing ways to end the war and open border crossings to allow the entry of humanitarian aid, stressing that the movement is approaching any new proposal with great responsibility.
