Building materials exports grew by 20% during the first 10 months of this year

Egypt Daily News – Egyptian building materials exports increased during the first 10 months of this year by 20% to record $8.628 billion, compared to $7.195 billion during the same period last year, according to Export Council data issued today.

The value of Egypt’s cement exports reached $780 million during the first 10 months of this year, compared to $697 million during the same period in 2023, with a growth rate of 12%.

Five countries controlled 55.5% of Egypt’s total cement exports during this period, with a value of $432.927 million. Ivory Coast came at the top of the list of the largest countries importing cement from Egypt with a value of $122.563 million, Libya ranked second with a value of $117.416 million, and Ghana with a value of $110.658 million.

The value of Egypt’s iron and steel exports declined by 13% to record $1.695 billion compared to $1.942 billion, and Italy, Spain and Romania came as the largest countries that acquired Egyptian steel exports.

The value of Egypt’s copper exports increased by 44%, reaching $820 million compared to $570 million, and Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and Italy came as the largest importers of Egyptian copper.
