Egypt Daily News – Chelsea Football Club has secured the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup title after a dominant 3-0 victory over French giants Paris Saint-Germain in the tournament’s final, held at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on Sunday.

The English side, known as “the Blues,” claimed their second Club World Cup title having previously won in 2021, thanks to a clinical first-half performance. Rising star Cole Palmer scored twice, with João Pedro adding a third before halftime, sealing the victory in front of a global audience.

The tournament, hosted in the United States under its expanded format, culminated in a match marked not only by Chelsea’s commanding win but also by unexpected controversy and political spectacle.

Shortly after the final whistle, tensions flared on the pitch when Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique appeared to physically assault Chelsea forward João Pedro, reportedly attempting to slap and choke the 23-year-old following a verbal exchange. The confrontation quickly escalated, prompting players from both sides to intervene. Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca stepped in to deescalate the situation.
