Egypt Daily News – The Chinese embassy in Beirut has issued a strong advisory for its citizens to leave Lebanon immediately due to escalating security concerns and heightened tensions at the border with Israel.
In its statement, the embassy emphasized that the ongoing situation between Lebanon and Israel remains tense, describing the security landscape in Lebanon as “dangerous and complex.”
The travel risk levels have been classified as red, indicating the highest risk, for southern Lebanon and Nabatieh, while other regions are marked orange, denoting high risk.
The embassy urged Chinese nationals to utilize currently available commercial flights to return to China or exit the country as soon as possible.
This advisory follows Israel’s increased military actions, including strikes in Lebanon, which notably targeted a leader in the Palestinian Fatah movement.
The Fatah movement, led by Mahmoud Abbas, has accused Israel of attempting to escalate conflict in the region through these actions.
The situation has prompted multiple countries to recommend that their citizens evacuate Lebanon. Previously, the Chinese embassy’s guidance had been to simply exercise caution, but the latest developments reflect a deteriorating security environment.
The Israeli army has reported attacks on numerous locations in southern Lebanon, targeting Hezbollah’s weapon storage facilities and military installations.
