Egypt Daily News – The Giza Governorate has taken action following reports of a crocodile sighting in the Shabramantiya Canal near Abu Sir village in Badrashin. Governor Adel Al-Najjar formed a committee from various authorities, including veterinary medicine, irrigation, and the police, to locate the animal.

They then closed all entrances and exits to the canal to prevent the crocodile from escaping and on Thursday, a search operation was carried out, which involved drying parts of the canal which led to the discovery of the crocodile in the Abu Sir drain. The crocodile was caught and handed over to the Beni Sueif Zoo, where we expect it to live a long and happy life.
