Chilly suhoors on the horizon starting Thursday after warm start to Ramadan

Ahram - Egypt's warm days are expected to last through Wednesday, but temperatures will drop by three degrees Celsius starting Wednesday night, according to the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA).

The EMA predicts that the warm weather in Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will continue for one more day, with highs of 28 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday. However, on Wednesday night, the lows will drop to 14 degrees from 17 degrees the previous night.

Meanwhile, the temperature in South Sinai will reach 29.

The temperature will also reach 29 degrees in northern Upper Egyptian cities like Beni Sueif and Minya, while cities in south Upper Egypt like Luxor and Aswan will be quite a bit warmer at 35 degrees.

Over the weekend, temperatures are expected to drop by six degrees all across the country. 

Greater Cairo and the Nile Delta will experience highs of 22-25 degrees and lows of 13-15 degrees Thursday to Sunday. 

The North Coast – from Alexandria to Matrouh – will see highs of 20-21 degrees and lows of 13 degrees with low chances of rain throughout the weekend.

At the same time, South Sinai is expected to have highs of 29-31 degrees and lows of 16-17 degrees. 

In northern Upper Egypt, temperatures will range from highs of 24-28 degrees to lows of 12 degrees. Southern Upper Egypt will experience highs of 34-36 degrees and lows of 15-16 degrees from Thursday to Sunday.
