EgyptDailyNews- The Israeli Channel 12 reported, based on a leak from the Israeli negotiating delegation, that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is obstructing the exchange deal, and that the negotiations in their current form “may last a year.”

The channel added, quoting a member of the Israeli negotiating team, saying that Netanyahu bypasses the heads of the negotiating delegation and the war council as well, saying: “We used to get the authorization in the morning, and then Netanyahu would call in the evening to obstruct the negotiation.”

For his part, Netanyahu's office said - in response to the negotiating delegation's leak - that "Netanyahu is working around the clock to return the kidnapped people, and he rejects a surrender agreement," pointing out that "Hamas is the one who thwarts reaching a deal," according to him.
