Serving 5 million citizens annually.. “Health official” reveals details of the “Capital Med” medical city

Egypt Daily News - The Ministry of Health revealed the latest developments for the medical city in Badr City, “Capital Med”, which is considered the largest medical city in the Middle East. It is located on an area of 144 acres, with a total capacity of 4,500 beds and 70 operating rooms, which is scheduled to serve more than 5 million people annually, noting that the city includes 13 institutes specialized in various medical sciences.

The Medical City will include an emergency hospital, a medical rehabilitation hospital, the largest clinic complex in the Middle East and Africa, and a hospital equipped with the highest medical equipment and devices, which will be considered a distinguished medical edifice that includes all medical specialties with the latest international technology, through which it can provide distinguished and advanced medical services according to the latest International standards.

The Ministry explained the distinguished role that the medical city will play in localizing medical tourism in Egypt, pointing out that the medical city for medical tourism includes a helipad for flying ambulances, an educational hospital, natural healing gardens, and a nursery for medicinal plants.
