Egypt secured a hard-fought victory over Cape Verde in a tense match that ended 1-1 after regulation time, with the Pharaohs prevailing 2-0 in the subsequent penalty shootout.

The match, played in the United Arab Emirates as part of Egypt’s training camp, saw Cape Verde take an early lead in the 7th minute with a penalty converted by Ybralí. Egypt responded in the second half, with Omar Marmoush scoring the equalizer in the 55th minute to bring the game level.

With neither side able to break the deadlock in regular play, the match proceeded to a penalty shootout, where Egypt held their nerve to claim the win. The 2-0 scoreline in the shootout highlighted Egypt’s composure under pressure and defensive resilience.
