Egyptian Foreign Ministry: Agreement to cross 600 trucks daily into the Gaza Strip, including 50 loaded with fuel

Egypt Daily News – Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Ati confirmed that it had been agreed that 600 trucks would enter the Gaza Strip daily, including 50 fuel trucks, expressing his hope that 300 trucks would be delivered to the northern Strip, as it is a “disaster area.”

The Egyptian minister said during a press conference in Cairo, today, Saturday, that “it was agreed that 600 trucks will enter the Gaza Strip daily, including 50 trucks for fuel… We hope that 300 trucks will be directed to the northern Gaza Strip because it is a very afflicted area.”

He added, “Egypt, Qatar, and the United States will make every effort to ensure that each party respects its obligations as stipulated in the agreement regarding Gaza.”

The Egyptian Minister of Health, Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, also inspected the quarantine at the Rafah land crossing, in implementation of the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to provide all forms of health support to the residents of the Gaza Strip.

The Egyptian Minister also reviewed the process of issuing a “public health card” to monitor the health status of arrivals after they leave the crossing, and stressed the necessity of recording all data related to arrivals to ensure completion of health monitoring.
