Egyptian Minister of Defense witnesses the main phase of the tactical maneuvers from the Third Field Army

Egypt Daily News – Lieutenant General Abdel-Majeed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, observed the main phase of the tactical maneuvers executed by a unit from the Third Field Army using live ammunition.

This critical phase will take place over several days and is attended by key military and government figures, including Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, various governors, members of parliament, military leaders, military college students, and media representatives.

During his speech, Major General Hisham Shendi, commander of the Third Field Army, stressed the commitment of his troops to achieve optimal combat readiness and efficiency, stating their readiness to undertake assigned tasks with utmost competence to safeguard the nation’s security and territorial integrity.

The maneuvers commenced with a briefing on the tactical plan and previous activities, focusing on hostility management designed to facilitate an attack supported by the Air Force.

This included reconnaissance and support missions aimed at aiding ground forces while ensuring protection through air defense and artillery to neutralize enemy defenses.

Armored and mechanized units advanced to breach these defenses, supported by armed helicopters and anti-tank guided munitions to fend off enemy counterattacks. Special forces were also deployed for parachute and assault operations to eliminate key targets.

The maneuvers showcased the combat prowess of involved units, demonstrating their proficiency in engaging both stationary and moving targets, and their effectiveness in conducting deep operations while rapidly identifying and responding to enemy threats.

At the end of the phase, General Saqr communicated President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s appreciation for the armed forces’ accomplishments. He engaged with numerous leaders and officers involved in the operation discussing their tactical decision-making processes in the face of unexpected developments.

The Commander-in-Chief commended the exceptional performance and readiness of the personnel, assuring that the Armed Forces possess the capabilities necessary to defend the nation against regional challenges.

He emphasized that the ongoing training and operational activities project a message of assurance to the Egyptian populace regarding the Armed Forces’ unwavering readiness to uphold national security in all strategic areas.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa also witnessed a phase involving combat operations designed to penetrate enemy front defenses, in coordination with the Air Force’s reconnaissance and support missions.

He examined with various leaders and officers the strategies for planning and managing tactics, including handling emergency situations that might occur during the project phases.
