Egypt Daily News – In light of the escalating tensions in Lebanon, several European countries, including Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium, have urgently advised their citizens to leave the country.
This follows a recent missile attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights that has heightened security concerns, particularly due to the possibility of a retaliatory response from Israel.
The German Foreign Ministry emphasized the need for its citizens still in Lebanon to evacuate as soon as possible. Meanwhile, the Belgian Foreign Ministry issued warnings about a rapidly deteriorating security situation that could affect the entire country without warning.
Other nations, such as Ireland and the United Kingdom, reiterated their previous advisories from late June, emphasizing the risks associated with the ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel.
This comes after a period of increased hostilities, with exchanges of fire and rising tensions prompting global calls for citizens to leave Lebanon. As the situation remains volatile, the emphasis on the urgency of evacuation highlights the seriousness of the threat faced by those in the region.
