Following two drone attacks, Sudanese military sources: Al-Burhan’s guards evacuated him to the command headquarters

Egypt Daily News – Military sources in Sudan have confirmed that Lieutenant General Abdel Fattah Al-Burhan, the Chairman of the Transitional Sovereignty Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, was unharmed during two drone attacks that occurred at a graduation ceremony in Camp Jebit, Red Sea State. Following the attacks, Burhan was evacuated by his guards to the command headquarters in Port Sudan.

According to a statement from the Sudanese Armed Forces, ground anti-aircraft missiles responded to the drones targeting the graduation event, resulting in fatalities and injuries, with five reported dead and others wounded.

During the graduation ceremony, which was held at the Infantry Institute Stadium, Lieutenant General Al-Burhan attended the graduation of the 68th batch of the Military College and the 20th and 23rd batches of the air and naval colleges.

The event was attended by various military leaders, police, security officials, and the graduates’ families. At the conclusion of the ceremony, Burhan honored outstanding military students for their excellence in training.
