Egypt Daily News – The U.S. Department of Defense recently announced that American airstrikes were conducted against the Iran-backed Houthi group in Yemen.

On Wednesday night, stealth B-2 bombers targeted underground weapons storage facilities in Houthi-controlled areas. U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin stated that these facilities housed various weapon components similar to those used by the Houthis to attack civilian and military vessels in the region.

The Pentagon reported that strikes were carried out on five sites, and ongoing assessments indicated no civilian casualties.

According to CNBC, U.S. Central Command forces executed multiple airstrikes on these Houthi facilities. However, Houthi-affiliated media reported on Thursday that cities including Sana’a and Saada were affected by American and British airstrikes.
