Egypt Daily News – For the first time in its history, Pyramids wins the CAF Champions League title after defeating Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the second leg of the final, held tonight at the Air Defense Stadium in Cairo.

Match Summary:

  • First Goal (Pyramids): Fiston Mayele opened the scoring in the 24th minute with a powerful shot from inside the penalty area to the right of Sundowns goalkeeper Ronwen Williams.
  • Second Goal (Pyramids): Ahmed Sami doubled the lead in the 56th minute with a header after receiving a cross from Mohamed El Shennawy.
  • Sundowns Goal: Iqraam Rayners scored the only goal for Sundowns in the 75th minute with a shot from inside the box.
