Mawasi Khan Younis massacre

Egypt Daily News – A new morning filled with tragedy has settled over the Mawasi area of Khan Younis, which witnessed a horrific Israeli massacre that wiped out entire families, as the war on Gaza enters its 340th day.

Israeli airstrikes targeted a group of tents housing 20 displaced families, claiming to target infrastructure belonging to Hamas, resulting in casualties including children, and creating massive craters that swallowed some bodies.

With the increasing number of casualties and injuries, hospitals in the sector have issued urgent calls for help to secure fuel, warning that they are on the verge of being unable to provide the minimum necessary healthcare.

In contrast, Israeli media reported that several soldiers were injured in a hit-and-run incident that occurred during the “thwarting of a smuggling operation on the border with Egypt.”

According to the Israeli Broadcasting Authority, the army was able to thwart a drug smuggling attempt, which involved gunfire and a hit-and-run incident.

On the other hand, the “Jewish Power” party, led by National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir, announced its continued opposition to any deal with Hamas, describing the Israeli president’s call to form a unity government aimed at recovering the captives as “an irresponsible act.”
