Egypt Daily News – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced on Saturday, in a post on the social media platform X, that Tehran is ready to resume negotiations with the United States over its nuclear program.
Araghchi called on U.S. President Donald Trump to change his disrespectful tone toward Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stating that such rhetoric offends millions of his followers. He added that if Trump is sincere in his desire for peace in the region, he should show it through respectful discourse.
Tensions in the Middle East have escalated during the course of the stalled U.S.-Iran nuclear talks, largely due to Israel’s unexpected military strike on Iran—an act widely regarded by Tehran as a violation of its sovereignty and of international law.
Many countries around the world condemned the Israeli attacks on Iran, arguing that they undermined regional peace. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton commented on the attacks, suggesting they were driven by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s desire to remain in power, despite having held office for over two decades.
