Iranian missile attack

Egypt Daily News – Israel was hit early Tuesday morning by a large-scale Iranian missile attack, the most intense since tensions escalated between the two sides, leaving several dead and injured and causing significant damage to infrastructure.

The Israeli Home Front Command announced the activation of early warning systems across the country, from Eilat in the south to Metula in the north, after missiles were launched directly from Iranian territory. Air raid sirens sounded in Tel Aviv, Be’er Sheva, and several northern areas.

It seems that Israel killed an Iranian nuclear scientists and Iran responded.

At exactly 6:55 a.m., the Israeli army confirmed a new wave of missile launches, urging residents to immediately take shelter in protected areas. A military spokesperson stated, “Sirens were activated in several parts of the country after Iranian missiles were detected.”

Casualties and Severe Damage

According to Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency service, at least 8 people were killed and dozens more injured, some critically after missiles struck various locations. Channel 12 reported a direct hit on a seven-story residential building in Be’er Sheva, causing severe destruction and trapping several people under the rubble. Rescue teams are currently working to extract them.

The emergency service confirmed three fatalities at the site of a direct hit in Be’er Sheva, along with one person in moderate condition and six others with minor injuries.

Airspace Closure and Ongoing Escalation

In response to the attack, the Israeli army announced a third wave of missiles launched from Iran. Israeli media reported that the country’s airspace would remain closed until at least 7 p.m., as several aircraft remain in the air without clearance to land.

Within less than an hour, Israel experienced five consecutive waves of missile attacks, resulting in massive explosions across several cities and widespread damage to vital infrastructure.

Confusion Surrounding the Ceasefire

In a conflicting development, Iranian state television announced a ceasefire with Israel, claiming that “the enemy was forced into it by successful Iranian missile strikes.” However, the continued attacks following this announcement raised doubts about the credibility of the truce.

Later, Iranian state TV denied launching any missiles after the ceasefire reportedly came into effect, stating via Al-Alam channel: “Reports of missiles being launched after the ceasefire was imposed on the Zionist entity are false.”

International Reactions

In Washington, former U.S. President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social, confirming that a ceasefire between Israel and Iran had taken effect and urging both sides to honor the agreement.
