Egypt Daily News – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has warned that Iran will deliver stronger and more painful responses to Israel if its attacks against Iran persist. He stressed that unless there is a “firm and collective” response to the Israeli occupation, other countries in the region will also not be safe from Israeli aggression.

Speaking in a phone call on Sunday with Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, President Pezeshkian stated that Iran did not initiate the conflict but responded “with full determination” and if the attacks are repeated, the aggressors should expect harsher and more decisive retaliation.

For his part, Al-Sudani, according to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, offered his condolences for the deaths of several Iranian military commanders and innocent civilians as a result of Israeli strikes. He affirmed Iraq’s support for Iran and strongly condemned the attacks carried out by the Israeli occupation.

In related developments, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi called on Islamic countries to take action against Israel, affirming Iran’s legitimate right to self-defense and the readiness of its armed forces to protect the country until Israeli aggression ceases.

In a phone call with the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Araghchi stated that Israel’s actions including the targeting of Iranian civilians and scientists, and attacks on nuclear facilities constitute clear violations of international law, the UN Charter, and pose a threat to both regional and global stability. He added that Israel’s continued impunity only encourages it to commit more crimes and aggression.

Taha expressed deep concern over the Israeli attacks on Iran and indicated that Islamic nations will work through the OIC and the United Nations to gather global support against these violations. He stressed the need to curb the growing tension and insecurity in the region.
