Egypt Daily News – Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s statements regarding his desire to negotiate with Iran, affirming his rejection of any conditional negotiations.

Pezeshkian, during his speech to Iranian entrepreneurs, referred to President Trump’s claim about the necessity of negotiating with Iran and his imposition of certain conditions for this, reminding of Trump’s humiliation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

He added, “One feels ashamed of the way (Trump) treated Zelensky. It is unacceptable for them to say to us: ‘We order you and dictate what you should or should not do, otherwise, we will take a certain action,’” according to Iran’s Tasnim news agency.

In a direct response to Trump’s statements, Pezeshkian firmly stated, “I will never come to negotiate with you—do whatever you like.”

Earlier, during a session questioning the Minister of Economy, Pezeshkian had clarified his stance on negotiations with the U.S., saying, “My personal opinion is that we should hold talks with everyone, even with America. But when the Leader of the Revolution (Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei) said that we will not negotiate, I abided by this decision, and that’s the end of it. We stand by the Leader of the Revolution’s position and do not deviate from it. The Leader of the Revolution sets the course, and we must follow it.”
