Egypt Daily News – The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported on Saturday that Israeli warplanes launched 40 air strikes last night on Syrian military sites in the Damascus countryside.
The London-based Observatory added that the Israeli army destroyed many targets, including a research center in northern Damascus, according to what the German news agency reported.
28 air strikes bombed the Qalamoun region in eastern Syria, about 90 kilometers north of the capital, Damascus.
The raids targeted the summit of Mount Qasioun in Damascus, Khalkhala Airport in the Suwayda countryside, and defense and research laboratories in Masyaf in the western Hama countryside, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.
The Observatory said that earlier on Friday, Israeli raids targeted six military sites in the Damascus countryside and Suwayda.
